Marina radio contact
Call VHF channel 09 - (before entry), for long term arrangements call at +30 22730 61600. The manager Mr. Spyros Moustakas, is very eager to please his customers.
Approach is straightforward. It is best to stay close to jetty on your port side as you enter the marina.
Berthing
The attendants will meet outside the marina with their inflatable and guide you to a berth. They will assist to dock. There are laid mooring lines, do not anchor.
If you are either entering or exiting Greece, you will have to walk to the town, 15 minutes, for the formalities.
Marina facilities
- Restaurant The Stake House (actually it is a rotisserie), food is passable. Popular with the locals.
- Chandlery.
- Mini-market.
- Dive Shop.
Repairs
- 70 ton travel-lift for haul-outs.
- Long-term storage on hard surface.
- Fiberglass, canvas, electrical, and engine repairs.
- There is a sailmaker's shop.
Security
There great plans but as of the spring of 2009, the provided security was minimum. Nevertheless, Samos is a very low-crime area.
Marina Location
The marina is a 15 minute walk from Pythagorio. Taxis can be summoned.
Transport
- There are many car and motorbike renting agencies, Aramis wis very friendly to cruisers.
- Taxis can be summoned (ask at the marina office).
- Public bus stop, 10 min walk uphill.
