One may clear in in [[Basseterre]], St. Kitts, or [[Charlestown]], Nevis. The harbour at [[Basseterre]] is a bit "industrial" and customs & immigration is at the deepwater port. Perhaps the best choice is to clear in on Nevis, and pick up a mooring off Pinney's Beach with it's several laid-back beach bar/restaurants. Cruisers tend to congregate at the Double Deuce restaurant, which is at the extreme southern end of Pinney's Beach.

Then, if you like, it's only a short hop to the scenic anchorages on the south east peninsula of St. Kitts--White House Bay, Ballast Bay, Majors Bay, and Banana Bay. Or, take the ferry over to St. Kitts for a taxi tour of the island.
