Monte Fontainhas in Brava

Brava ( Portuguese for 'angry') is an island in Cape Verde. It is the smallest inhabited island, but at the same time the greenest, of Cape Verde, in the Sotavento group. The island of Brava is 10.5 km long (north to south) and its width is 9.3 km. Its area is 64 km² (25 sq mi).

The port has no facilities for yahts and they are not allowed on the ferry quay. Yachts anchor off in 4-8 m depth to the west of the the slipway with two anchors out to the southwest, plus a stern line ashore (with anti-chafe protection) to the sea wall. Sandy bottom with good holding.
