Navigation

Follow the water break to the south. The first pontoon (now broken but secured) runs perpendicular to the east, there will be a few super yachts moored stern to. Look for the yellow buoy after 100m, marking the entrance, if you haven't been met already, then go north into the marina

Berthing

Stern to and alongside.

Marina staff will NOT ALLOW bows-to. They pushed us into other boats because they didn't want us to go bows-in. Not a recommended place!

You will be met by a welcome craft and shown to your berth, and assisted if necessary.

You will need a rope ready tied to bow cleat. They attach this to their short laid lines. Also need their help to leave because of this. Not good!

Marinas & Yacht Clubs

  • Pendik Marina (Now called MarinTurk) - a large, busy marina.

Anchorages

Anchoring was notably done by local craft. Some rafting. Not recommended.

  • A rather expensive marina. 13m yacht is 70 euro daily Yearly contracts are available, minimum 35 sq. m costing 4000 per year. Very friendly and helpful staff. English spoken. Assistance with formalities via agent. --BenPikeUK 04:29, 30 April 2013
  • Close (20km) to nearest International Airport. Planes fly low over the marina from 0500 to after midnight - every 5 minutes.
  • Even the Migros supermarket does not sell alcohol.
