Area? Cruising Guide
This template is to be used for Regions. Regions can be bodies of water with one or more countries. Examples of regions are the Aegean Sea (Greece & Turkey), Sea of Marmara (within Turkey), North Atlantic (many countries), etc. It is NOT applicable for group of islands like the Balearics or the Caribbean, for these use the either the Island Group Template.
The items in this template are for your guidance and assure a certain homogeneity and consistency across the CruisersWiki but are not cast in concrete. Use your judgment.
Items in magenta are to be substituted including the {{MagentaText|xx}} template or the xx.
Please remove instructions in green, including these lines, after reading them. Also, keep in mind that this template is Protected which means that you cannot alter it, however, if you think that any changes to the template are desirable, contact the wiki administrators by making an entry describing the proposed changes and your reason in the discussion (second right button at the top of this page).

Ports, Anchorages, and Islands
Regions because there can be very diverse are hard to make them fit into one single mold. In general they fall under two large categories: regions within a single country and regions comprised of several countries. But either of these can be subdivided into small regions with few counties and/or ports or large with many countries and/or ports. We will deal with all 4 of these categories separately.
1. Small regionof a single country with just a few ports, Anchorages, and Islands (i.e.Balearics). These are handled in a list. Copy the contents of Template:Small Coutry Region and paste bellow.
2. Large regionof a single country with several ports, anchorages, and Islands. These are handled with one or more table. Copy the contents of Template:Large Coutry Region and paste bellow.
3. Small region with just a few countries with few ports, anchorages, and Islands (i.e. Ionian Sea). These are handled with a single table. Copy the contents of Template:Small Region and paste bellow.
4. Large region with just a several countries that include regions, ports, anchorages, and Islands (i.e. Aegean Countries, Groups, Ports, and Islands). These are handled several section and tables. Copy the contents of Template:Large Region and paste bellow.
